[Infovis] Open PhD Position at the JKU Visual Data Science Lab in Austria

Dear colleagues,
 
we would like to share an exciting open position at our institute.
 
We are looking for a motivated PhD student who will be part of an
EU-wide doctoral training network focused on investigating how
regeneration is triggered and controlled on a genetic level
(https://danio-recode.eu/ [https://danio-recode.eu/]). As one of the
computational nodes of the network, the Visual Data Science Lab at JKU
Linz will work on novel dimension reduction and
visualization techniques for biological data collected in the network.
 
This position offers unique benefits such as a diverse training program,
secondments at our partner institutions, and a mobility
allowance in addition to a competitive salary.
 
We are looking for applicants with a background in either bioinformatics
or visualization, with a strong motivation to dive into
the respective other field.
