We invite contributions to a special issue on immersive analytics (IA). 
Submissions of original research on all related topics are encouraged 
(see list of suggested topics below).


Important Information
---------------------

Time window for full paper submission: November 15, 2021 - March 15, 2022

Note that this special issue is organised as a virtual special issue in 
order to speed up the publication of individual articles and to reduce 
the waiting time for early submissions within the submission time 
window. As soon as a manuscript is submitted, it will undergo the review 
process, and be published shortly after acceptance.

All submitted papers will be peer-reviewed and papers will be selected 
based on their quality and relevance for the theme of this special issue.

Important topics of interest include, but are not limited to:


• Collaboration in immersive environments for data analysis

• Multimodality for data analysis

• Evaluation of IA methods and approaches

• Fundamentals of IA, e.g. regarding perception, locomotion, interaction 
in immersive environments

* Use of stereoscopic 3D for data analysis

• Integration of data analytics into immersive environments

• IA systems and toolkits

• IA applications and use-cases

• Scalability of IA approaches

• Theoretical frameworks, models, position statements

• Surveys on aspects of IA
