Dear all,
You are invited to join us for the 24-hour, around-the-world science mapping event that will take place noon-noon on December 11-12, 2021!
The website with the 24h schedule is now available at https://24hoursciencemap.info

This event will highlight science maps and macroscopes and celebrate both the Places & Spaces: Mapping Science<https://scimaps.org/> exhibit and the publication of the Atlas of Forecasts: Modeling and Mapping Desirable Futures, the final volume in the Atlas trilogy<https://scimaps.org/books>. Over the course of 24 hours, we will interview scholars and practitioners from around the globe, feature behind-the-scenes videos, demonstrate valuable tools and methodologies, and have fun celebrating maps and macroscopes!

There will also be opportunities for anyone to create and submit drawings of YOU in the landscape of science and to win prizes, see flyer<https://24hoursciencemap.info/assets/img/contestflyer.pdf> with more info on how to submit works and win cash prizes.

We hope to create a program that is lively, stimulating, and invigorating to help kickoff the holiday season, create ever more excitement for the power and value of science, share the pleasures of scientific discovery, and give good energy to all on this planet who have been affected by the ongoing pandemic.

To connect, please use this Zoom link: https://iu.zoom.us/j/88288500826

Feel free to share this invite and bring friends and family!

Warm regards,
Katy Börner and Todd Theriault
