On July 9th, we would like to welcome you to a hybrid research symposium (https://intavia.eu/dh2023) to reflect on novel developments in the field of cultural heritage information and visualization. The event, which is co-located to DH 2023, will take place at the Kunsthaus Graz between 10 am and 5 pm (CET) and will be streamed live on zoom - registration is required but free!
Since 2020, the Horizon-Project InTaVia (https://intavia.eu) works at the transnational connection and harmonization of cultural heritage data collections (both on tangible and intangible aspects of CH information) and on making these complex collections accessible and visible for a wide range of audiences. Starting from a reflection on the project's main questions and results, the one-day symposium aims to expand, deepen and contextualize the impulse of this European initiative with cutting-edge inputs from digital humanists, visualization scholars, and GLAM practitioners. The symposium aims to strengthen the collaboration between actors from digital humanities, cultural heritage, and visualization fields, deepening the networking activities of the VIS4DH workshop community (https://vis4dh.org - paper submission DL extended until July 10th).
