[Infovis] CFP - MERCADO Workshop at IEEE VIS 2023: Multimodal Experiences for Remote Communication Around Data Online

MERCADO is a half-day workshop at IEEE VIS 2023 <https://ieeevis.org/> on
the topic of new Multimodal Experiences for Remote Communication Around
Data Online, taking place October 22nd or 23rd in Melbourne, Australia.

We aim to gather researchers working in data visualization,
human-computer interaction (HCI), and computer-supported collaborative work
(CSCW) who are interested in multimodal, synchronous, and remote or hybrid
forms of communication and collaboration within organizational and
educational settings.
CALL FOR PARTICIPATION
If you have been working on designing new ways to communicate, present and
tell stories about data synchronously or asynchronously, using
visualizations and new modes of interaction for presenters, please consider
sharing your experiences at this workshop.
SUBMISSIONS
Those who want to participate in this workshop will submit a short
paper (two to four pages) in the style of short provocation or
reflection statements, case studies, design fictions, or
work-in-progress reports. We will also encourage the submission of
accompanying videos. We will host accepted submissions on the
workshop’s website, however will we also encourage authors to archive their
publications using open access services.
