INFORMATION+ CONFERENCE
22nd-24th November, 2023
Edinburgh, UK
https://informationplusconference.com <https://informationplusconference.com/>.

The Information+ conference calls for submissions of Presentations, Workshops & Activities, and Exhibitions.

Information+ is a biennial conference that brings together researchers and practitioners in information design and data visualization to discuss common questions and challenges in these rapidly changing fields. Unlike discipline-specific gatherings, Information+ seeks to foster productive exchanges amongst the variety of people involved in the theories, practices and pedagogies of analyzing and communicating information.

Following its previous editions in Vancouver and Potsdam, Information+ 2023 will be run as an in-person event in Edinburgh. The conference will be hosted by the University of Edinburgh, which is actively exploring interdisciplinary approaches to teaching and research around information design, visualization and related fields, visible in the Edinburgh Futures Institute, Design Informatics, the Bayes Centre, Data Lab, the Centre for Data, Culture, and Society.

In past years of Info+, presentations have covered a broad range of topics in information design and visualization, including:
General topics:
Ethical considerations
Design processes
Education
Diversity and inclusion
Modalities of data representations (touch, sound, taste, .. )
Novel technology and AI
Domain-specific:
social and political issues,

Digital humanities, and
Data journalism
Advances and trends in information design

CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS

Information+ calls for submissions for three types of contributions:

Submissions should not exceed 3000 characters and be submitted by May 31st through EasyChair. Accepted presentations will be invited for a journal publication. More information on https://informationplusconference.com/2023/#cfp <https://informationplusconference.com/2023/#cfp>
2/ Workshops & Activities aim to offer opportunities for discussion, hands-on experiences, and networking of different length and purpose. Activities offer opportunities for brief exercises that engage the conference attendees with data and visual representation

Submissions will follow a form and should be submitted by June 7th, also through EasyChair.
