IEEE AIVR is a unique event, addressing researchers and industries from all areas of AI as well as Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality. It provides an international forum for the exchange between those fields, to present advances in the state of the art, identify emerging research topics, and together define the future of these exciting research domains.

*CALL FOR SATELLITE EVENTS*

Given the ongoing COVID situation, IEEE AIVR 2022 will be organised as a virtual event on Dec 12-14, 2022. Yet, it will be complemented by *satellite events* which are physical on-location meetings in several shapes, including but not limited to:

* Informal group gatherings during the conference dates
* Workshop-style gatherings incorporated into the conference
* Pre-conference workshops or events

*TIMELINE & PROCEDURE*

Difficult times require new thinking and creative solutions, which is why there is no formal procedure but interests to host satellite events should be expressed to the conference organisers and will be handled on a case-base by the general chairs and program committee of the conference. Please get in touch with them at your earliest convenience to allow for sufficient time to discuss the setup and put it into action.
