Since 1992, AVI has been a biannual appointment for a wide international
communityof experts with a broad range of backgrounds. Throughout
morethan two decades, the Conference has attracted leading researchers
ofHuman-Computer Interaction (HCI) from all over the world, offering a
forumto present and disseminate new technological results, paradigms
andvisionsfor HCI and user interfaces.
Because of advanced technology and newpossibilities for user
interaction, AVI has broadened the topics it covers,
still keeping its main focus on the conception, design, implementation
andevaluation of novel visual interfaces.
While rooted in Italy, AVI is a true international conference with
respectto nationalityof participants, authors of papers and program
committeemembers. The mixture of carefully selected research
contributions pairedwith cordial Italian hospitality creates a unique
conference atmosphere, which has made AVI an internationally recognized
brand.
