We welcome you to the 2019 ACM International Conference on Interactive
Surfaces and Spaces (ISS 2019), taking place from November 10th to 13th in
Daejeon, South Korea.

The early registration deadline is October 10th.

Interactive surfaces and spaces have become increasingly prevalent,
appearing in various sizes, shapes, and application contexts, which enables
and requires novel forms of interaction going beyond the traditional WIMP
paradigm. ACM ISS is the premier venue for sharing research on topics such
as large-scale interactive displays, touch/gesture/whole-body and
multimodal interaction, tabletop computing, 3D and spatial user interfaces,
media facades, interactive architecture, interactive 3D spaces (mixed
reality and augmented reality), and many others that lie within the
overarching theme of interactive surfaces and spaces.

Keynotes: We’re excited to announce that Bill Buxton will be our opening
keynote speaker. His talk is titled “Ubiety, Mobility & Transitions: The
Quest for Ecological Intelligence”. The closing keynote will be by Chul Bae
Lee, Corporate Senior Vice President of LG Electronics Inc., whose talk is
titled “Shared, Subscribed & Supernatural Surface, Surfable – Speculation
and Strategy”.

Our technical program consists of 26 full papers, 11 posters, and 10 demos.
We also have three tutorials on haptics, VR navigation, and immersive
analytics.

We are looking forward to seeing you at ISS ’19 in Daejeon!
