Postdoctoral Fellows

The Visual Data Analysis Group <http://visualdata.wustl.edu/> at Washington
University is seeking a post-doctoral fellow to pursue research in the
areas of Visualization, Human-Computer Interaction, and Machine Learning.
The candidate will directly work with Dr. Alvitta Ottley and graduate
students. The successful candidate will also work closely with
collaborators at Boeing and the DOD on innovative research projects aimed
at developing intelligent visualization systems to support the
decision-making process better.


*Current topics of interest include:*

   - Intelligent visualization tools
   - Modeling and prediction of user behavior (Applied Machine Learning)
   - Visualization for clinical decision support and risk communication
   - User-Adaptive visualization and personalization
   - Perception and cognition for visualization
   - Design Studies



*Required Qualifications:*


   - Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field
   - Excellent written and oral communication skills
   - Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
   - Experience with data visualization and/or machine learning
   - Strong Programming Skills
