The University of Calgary is hiring for several assistant prof positions
this year, including one in data science. The hire is part of our move to
build out a new data science program, so primarily looking for folks with
more visual analytics and/or machine learning experience. New hires would
have a chance to collaborate with visualization faculty in the Interactions
Lab <http://ilab.cpsc.ucalgary.ca>, InnoVis
<http://innovis.cpsc.ucalgary.ca/>, and Data Experience
<http://dataexperience.cpsc.ucalgary.ca/> labs. Having spent the past
couple of years at Calgary as a new prof, I've been very impressed with the
university overall and the department in particular – and this is hopefully
one in a string of several more vis-related hires!
