BioVis will be held as a Community of Special Interest (COSI) event at ISMB
2017

We invite submissions of contributions to the BioVis Symposium in various
formats on all aspects of data visualization in biology, from molecular to
cell, tissue, organism and population biology.

1. ISMB Proceedings
----------------------------
Novel, unpublished work can be submitted as a paper to the ISMB
Proceedings. Accepted submissions will be published in the OUP Journal
Bioinformatics (http://bioinformatics.oxfordjournals.org/, impact factor
5.7) and presented orally at BioVis.
Submission Deadline: January 26, 2017
2. BioVis Proceedings
----------------------------
Novel, unpublished work can be submitted as a paper to the BioVis
Proceedings. Accepted submissions will be published in BMC Bioinformatics (
https://bmcbioinformatics.biomedcentral.com/, impact factor 2.4) and
presented orally at BioVis.
Submission Deadline: April 13, 2017
3. Highlight Talks
----------------------------
Participants are encouraged to submit abstracts highlighting previously
published work. Accepted highlight talks will be presented orally at
BioVis.
Submission Deadline: May 15, 2017
4. Posters
----------------------------
We invite participants to submit work in progress and preliminary results,
previously published work from other venues, or visualization challenges to
be presented as a poster. A selection of these will be invited to give a
short talk during the conference.
