http://ieeevis.org/year/2016/info/registration/conference-registration
IEEE Vis includes programs for students, academics, artists, industry and commercial practitioners, government researchers, and anyone with interests in visualization and data analytics. The conference draws about 1,000 participants from dozens of countries to a week of research presentations, tutorials, workshops, panels, demonstrations, posters, and exhibitions. Join us and bring your imagination, your data, your problems, your solutions, your research, insights, experience, and enthusiasm.
Please find the VIS program at a glance: http://ieeevis.org/year/2016/info/overview-amp-topics/week-glance.
Important Date:
Early bird registration deadline: September 9, 2016

2. BioVis posters
============
http://biovis.net/2016/ieeevis/
The BioVis 2016 Posters track offers a venue to present and discuss new research in biological data visualization. Submissions take the form of a short (250-word) abstract with a supporting figure and are presented at the conference site as large format posters during a dedicated poster session. The BioVis workshop as a whole aims to promote interaction between the visualization, bioinformatics, and biology communities, and the BioVis poster session offers an interactive forum that encourages graphical presentation, demonstration, and active engagement with BioVis participants as well as all attendees of IEEE VIS.
Important Dates:
Submission: August 26, 2016
Notification: September 9, 2016

3. IEEE VIS meetUps
============
http://ieeevis.org/year/2016/info/call-participation/meetups
Do you want to meet people who share the same interest with you or just discuss a topic that you care about or that brings the visualization community forward? If yes, organize a meetup! Meetups (previously known as BOFs) are an excellent forum to discuss a wide range of topics related to visualization. For example, if you are an experienced researcher, consider submitting a proposal to share your knowledge in an informal setting with conference participants. Proposals devoted to a particular discipline’s methods and cross disciplinary proposals are both welcome. For example, some recent meetups have included opportunities to discuss topics related to blogging about visualization, the connection between art and science, even organizing a joint bike trip (Velo Club de VIS). MeetUps are public and open to all attendees.
Important Dates:
Early Submission: September 4, 2016
Notification: September 9, 2016
Submissions after the deadline will be considered subject to room availability. Later submissions will be processed and notified within a couple of days.
We also encourage impromptu meetups to be organized during the conference itself. Please contact the chairs by email or in person during the conference in order to secure a conference room and time slot.

The VIS conference is excited to support our VISKids and young families!
Grants of up to $500 per family are available for VIS attendees who are bringing small children to the conference or who incur extra expenses in leaving their children at home. If requests exceed available funding, or if additional funding becomes available, preference will be given to students and early career attendees who are presenting at the conference.
Important Dates:
Submission: September 7, 2016
Notification: September 9, 2016
