CALL FOR PAPERS & PARTICIPATION

13 - 18 OCTOBER, 2013
ATLANTA, GEORGIA, USA

VIS 2013 is the premier forum for advances in scientific and information visualization. The event-packed week brings together researchers and practitioners from academia, government, and industry to explore their shared interests in tools, techniques, and technology. We invite you to participate in IEEE Visual Analytics Science and Technology, IEEE Information Visualization, and IEEE Scientific Visualization by sharing your research, insights, experience, and enthusiasm.

CO-LOCATED SYMPOSIA
The 3rd IEEE Symposium on Large-Scale Data Analysis and Visualization (LDAV) aims at bringing together domain scientists, data analytics and visualization researchers, and users, and fostering the needed exchange to develop the next-generation data-intensive analysis and visualization technology. Visit ldav.org for more information.

The 3rd IEEE Symposium on Biological Data Visualization (BioVis) aims at bringing together researchers from the visualization, bioinformatics, and biology communities to establish an interdisciplinary dialogue and to promote the sharing of expertise, between both meeting participants and the communities at large. Visit biovis.net for more information.

The 10th International Symposium on Visualization for Cyber Security (VizSec) is a forum that brings together researchers and practitioners from academia, government, and industry to address the needs of the cyber security community through new and insightful visualization and analysis techniques. VizSec will provide an excellent venue for fostering greater exchange and new collaborations on a broad range of security- and privacy-related topics. Accepted papers will appear in the ACM Digital Library as part of the ACM International Conference Proceedings Series.

LOCATION

In 2013, IEEE VIS comes to the city of Atlanta, the heart and high-tech center of Georgia and the American south. Atlanta is a dynamic destination for tourism. Nearby is the world's largest indoor aquarium, the Georgia Aquarium, and just a few steps away, the World of Coca-Cola and Centennial Olympic Park. The conference will be located at the downtown Marriott Marquis Hotel, the 3rd largest Marriott in the world. The Marriott is 12 miles north of Atlanta's international airport and the MARTA subway connects the hotel conveniently to the airport. More info on Atlanta tourism can be found here: atlanta-tourism.org and http://www.atlanta.net.
