InfoVis colleagues: You may be aware of the NVAC (National Visualization and Analytics Center) research program sponsored here in the U.S. at the Pacific Northwest National Labs. (See http://nvac.pnl.gov for more info.) This research program focuses on the area of visual analytics which is certainly related to and shares many motivations with information visualization. We have created a Visual Analytics Digital Library to house visual analytics-related educational materials including course notes, slides, video lectures, homework assignments, exam questions, papers, etc. This note is simply to advertise the website and to encourage you to submit materials that may be relevant to visual analytics. (I am uploading video lectures from my infovis class into the library this spring, for instance.) The URL for the site is http://vadl.cc.gatech.edu. Please take a look and do consider submitting some of your materials. There is a submission form on the site that assists with this process. You may also find materials there that can assist you in your teaching and research. --John ps. A temp version of the InfoVis '07 website http://conferences.computer.org/infovis/infovis2007/ now has preliminary information about conference categories and deadlines. The full site should be up soon. --------------------------------------------------------------------- John Stasko, Professor & Assoc.
